Watford’s resurgence continued as they climbed the Sky Bet Championship Table. Miletarajovic’s two goals helped the hosts thrash Rotherham 5-0 at Vicarage Road.
After a tough start, Valerien Ismael’s team is now unbeaten in six matches and looking to reach the top of the table after their largest victory this season.
The difference in quality was obvious throughout the match, with Edo Kayembe’s double and Tom Ince’s, MatheusMartins’ and Edo Kayembe’s second half goals proving that the home side deserved to win.
Ismael was forced to make three changes from his five-player lineup for the 0-0 draw with Huddersfield due to illness and injury. Goalkeeper Ben Hamer made his first start in this league after Daniel Bachmann, who is usually Daniel Bachmann’s shotstopper, had been ruled out of training because he suffered a concussion.
Matt Taylor, Rotherham’s manager, chose a two-man line to try and score elusive goals.
Watford’s first goal on target in just 10 minutes ended Rotherham’s chances of achieving safety. They had been without a road win for over a year and were four points behind.
