Scotland vs Norway: Predictions for a showdown between two rivals

11 of Scotland’s 15 last internationals produced more than 2.5 goals
Both teams scored in Norway’s six last away games
– Recommend bet: More than 2.5 goals

Scotland has qualified automatically for Euro 2024 by winning five of their six Group A games. However, Steve Clarke’s team lost to Spain 2-0 and drew 2-2 with Georgia in its last two matches.

The Norwegians are missing Erling Haaland, the injured Arsenal player and striker Erling haaland.

Scotland, however, is also missing some key players in particular in defense. They won the reverse match in June 2-1 in Oslo, with goals in the 87th minute and in 89th.

News about Team

Scotland is without Andy Robertson, the injured captain of Scotland. Also missing are Kierantierney and Aaron Hickey. Che Adams, Elliot Anderson, and goalkeeper Angus Gunn will also be missing. This means that either Liam Kelly (or Zander Clark) or Che Kelly (or both of them together!) can start at goal.

Erling Haaland, a Norwegian striker, has been added to the injured list alongside Martin Odegaard (hip), Alexander Sorloth (knee), Orjan Nyland (knee), Antonio Nusa, and Osame Shouraoui.

Five of the last six matches have been won by Norway

Prediction

Norway needs to win Hampden Park in order to increase their chances of qualifying for the play-offs. The pressure has been lifted on Scotland as they are assured of their spot at the finals next summer.

Over 2.5 goals is still a good bet, even though they will not have two of Premier League’s top players in Haaland, Odegaard and Villarreal’s Alexander Sorloth.

Scotland’s midfielders John McGinn and Scott McTominay have both been scoring goals in recent weeks.

Without Andy Robertson, Kieran Terney or other stalwarts in the home defense, Scotland has been beaten by England 3-1 and France 4-1 recently.

The Tartan Army could be in for a lot of fun with their last Group A match. Their 2-2 draw against Georgia on Thursday had plenty to offer.
