Rodrygo thanks Carlo Ancelotti for his faith in him after a stellar performance against Braga

  • Rodrygo’s third goal in the Champions League was scored in the victory over Braga.
  • The Brazilian was at his very best as he took home the UEFA Player of the match award for the 3-0 victory.
  • Ancelotti was grateful to him after the goal

Rodrygo thanked Carlo Ancelotti after he had a poor run of form in front the goal at Real Madrid.

This talented Brazilian was out of shape for most of the first half of 2023/24, largely due to the fact that he had to switch from being a winger on the right to becoming a center forward to make room for the superstar attacking midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Rodrygo has admitted that he doesn’t like to play as a striker. He had only managed three goals in 15 games for Los Blancos. Rodrygo is also without a goal for the league since the start of this campaign. Many fans are wondering why Ancelotti still names him first on his team sheet.

In the Champions League on Wednesday, the 22-year old repaid his faith in winning the match against Braga. He looked back at some of his finest moments as he scored a goal and provided an assist during the first-half of the game.

Rodrygo thanked Ancelotti after winning the match against Movistar for playing him in spite of his poor form during the first half of 2023/24.

He said: “I am very pleased, this was an excellent game.” “I am very pleased with my goal, the assist and also the victory and qualification.

The hug was given to Ancelotti. You can only see the real person when things are bad. He was there when I needed him. “I scored, and I wanted to share it with him.”

Ancelotti answered the question in his press conference after the match, “In my professional career, I’ve had forwards that have scored every time and other who struggle to score.

All you can do, is to support them. Sooner or later, a player who has the characteristics of Rodrygo and Vinicius will score. It’s only a matter of time before they score.

Vinicius and Rodrygo combined brilliantly in the second part. Rodrygo & Vinicius are one of the few duos that can effectively counter-attack.

Rodrygo is aiming for his second La Liga goal of the season when Los Blancos take on Valencia this Saturday.
