Kane’s goal in Malta adds to England’s record-breaking goals

Harry Kane is one of England’s best strikers, and he’s now expanding his record to become the most prolific shooter in England.

Skipper Kane netted the second in the Three Lions’ 2-0 victory over Malta, despite the game being tense. The Three Lions have already secured their place at Euro 2024.

The clinical forwards’ international goal-scoring record is highlighted.

What is the total number of goals Harry Kane has scored for England

Kane is the England’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals from 88 games. He has surpassed Wayne Rooney on the list.

He scored his first Three Lions goal on debut. Rooney was replaced by him and he nodded in a headshot just 79 second after stepping into the fray.

In his first 17 matches for the Three Lions, he only scored six goals. But in the last 71 games he’s netted 56. This is a testament to the potent finisher that Jeremy has become.

Kane has scored five England hattricks.

He scored his first treble against Panama in the World Cup of 2018 and then against Bulgaria and Montenegro during Euro 2020 qualification a year after.

In 2021, he scored back-to-back goals against Albania and San Marino on his way to Qatar in World Cup qualifying matches.

Frank Lampard, who held the previous England record with nine penalties, is now dethroned by his 21 penalty goals.

Kane, Rooney, and Lampard are the only players who have ever scored an England goal every single day.

Kane is known as a poacher, but a few England goals stand out.

Kane scored the opening goal in England’s 3-2 victory in Germany, in 2016, and brought Hampden to a standstill with an equaliser in stoppage time against Scotland a year later.

He scored in both the quarterfinal and last 16 match against France at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Kane’s second penalty of the match was a miss, and the Three Lions were eliminated from the World Cup.

In seven Euro 2024 qualifying matches, he has eight goals and will be leading the team at another major tournament next summer in Germany.
