Despite Mikel Arteta’s ego suggesting that he could mould Kai Havertz into a regular contributor in north London, the German still looks like the same midfielder-cum-forward who was utterly devoid of confidence for much of his Chelsea spell. If the club is to continue progressing under Ange Postecoglou, it must keep strengthening. The midfield is not a top priority this winter but they will need to replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, if the Juventus makes an inquiry about him.
Andre would be better suited for the holding position in Ange’s midfield. However, replacing Yves Bissouma won’t be easy. Spurs will be hard-pressed to ignore Andre’s potential and talent if he is only available for PS30m.

Liverpool has undergone a radical midfield revamp in the summer. However, there is still more to do.
In Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai as well as Alex Mac Allister the Reds have added box-toboxers who would be better fitted to perform in Jurgen Klipp’s number 8 roles.
The team struggled to replace Fabinho and ended up signing Wataru Endo from nowhere. Klopp, however, has preferred Mac Allister to be at the heart of his midfield.
Andre is a better long-term solution than Mac Allister or Endo. Although he’s not as good with the ball, Andre has a similar aesthetic to Thiago.
