Everton’s striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be subject to a shocking bid by Al-Ettifaq.
After a long period of injury, the Saudi Pro League team, led by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is interested in signing 26-year old centre forward after his recent return to fitness.
Calvert-Lewin scored three goals for Toffees in seven games this season. However, he was ineffective during their 2-0 loss in the Merseyside Derby on Saturday.
According to The Sun, Al-Ettifaq is still keen to sign the England International and offer him a lucrative contract.
Gerrard’s team were active in the summer transfer window. They brought in ex-Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, and former Celtic striker Moussa Debele.
Demarai Grey, a former Everton player who had a tough time at Goodison Park under Sean Dyche, also chose to join Gerrard.
Al-Ettifaq, despite their high spending on the team, haven’t had the most successful start to their season. They currently sit in seventh place ahead of today’s trip to Al-Riyadh.
A striker like Calvert-Lewin, who scored 63 goals in 216 games across all competitions for Everton could allow the club to compete against Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.
