Barcelona is keen to do a deal with Brighton’s star Kaoru Mitoma.
According to reports in Spain, the Barca scouts have taken notice of the player’s dribbling skills and goal-scoring eye.
The LaLiga champions have noted that the contract of the Japanese international expires 2025. This means a possible deal could be made next summer, when the Seagulls will likely cash in their asset.
Mitoma is one of Premier League’s leading attackers.
In the campaign 2022-23, he scored eight goals in total and had seven involvements with goal in eleven matches.
According to the report, Xavi wants to add a left winger into his team, as most of his options, such as Raphinha and Ferran Torres, prefer to play on the right.
Mitoma’s move is also a priority for the club.
