Thais prepare for Singapore Test

On Tuesday, Thailand will face the hosts Singapore in an important 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier that neither side can afford to lose.

Thai Rath TV will broadcast the live coverage of this match. It will begin at 7pm Thai time at Singapore National Stadium.

China’s grit was evident in their first match against Thailand, where they won 2-1 after coming from behind in Bangkok. Meanwhile, Takayuki Nishiigaya and Singapore’s 5-0 defeat by Juergen Klinsmann’s South Korea took place in Seoul.

Thailand needs a victory on Tuesday to get their campaign on track again and keep Mano Polking as the coach of War Elephants.

Some Thai supporters have demanded his death.

Rumours have circulated that the former Buriram coach Masatada Honda, former Vietnam boss Park Hang Seo, and former Cambodian manager Keisukehonda are all candidates to replace Polking.

Thailand is without Chanathip Hemviboon and Pansa Songkrasin, who were both injured during their match against China.

Polking expects a difficult match against Singapore on Tuesday evening.

“We’re back in Singapore. The German-Brazilian trainer told a media conference that he has fond memories from this place, having won the Asean Championship here two years earlier.

It will be an extremely difficult match for the two teams. After losing our first game, we are still in the same position.

It’s natural to feel under pressure when you lose a match that is important, but it is essential to remain focused.

We must be able to rise up to the challenge. “We must rise to the occasion.”

We know Singapore very well. We mustn’t underestimate Singapore because they are a very good team. There are no simple games in this age.

Singapore lost to South Korea by 5-0, but the game was played away. “They will also be keen to win this game, so I do not think we will have an easy match here.”

Polking said: “We’re missing Chanathip Pansa and Chanathip Pansa who were both important members of our squad.

It’s nice to know that Teerasil is doing much better and may be able to play in the Singapore match.”

Teerasil has returned to the field after a recent injury and said that “the team must not repeat the mistakes that they made against China.”

This is a crucial game to us. We want our qualification campaign to get back on track. The match will be exciting, but the result is what matters.

We have some Singaporean footballers at our club (BG Pathum) and I’ve seen that they improved a great deal over the last few years.
