Notts County beat Bradford City 4-2: Magpies win the match.

Notts County beat Bradford by 4-2 in the second half to get back on track with their League Two Promotion drive.

County put on a great first half performance, with David McGoldrick scoring either side of Macaulay’s double and Dan Crowley adding another. However an own goal by Richard Brindley and Jamie Walker gave them a nervous finish.

In the opening five minutes, McGoldrick broke the deadlock by finishing off a nice move on the right. Langstaff then doubled their advantage when he deflected John Bostock’s shot in.

Six minutes later, he scored again after Crowley slipped it in. Crowley then added a 4-0 score with an excellent curling performance.

The visitors continued to fight in the second period.

Alex Gilliead deflected Brindley’s shot to cut the deficit. Walker then fired past Sam Slocombe, setting up an exciting finish.

Langstaff was on his way to completing his hat trick late in the game, but a goal-saving header by Andy Cook, a visiting striker, kept Graham Alexander’s first Bradford win at bay.
