Mansfield has jumped up to second in Sky Bet League Two following a 2-0 win at home over Newport. This victory extended the unbeaten streak of 17 games that they had started this season.
Davis Keillor Dunn scored a goal each in the first and second halves to secure a win against an Exiles team that was suffering from injuries.

Keillor Dunn forced Nick Townsend to make a fine save in the 17th after being set up by Lewis Brunt’s great pass.
Oates was awarded a spot kick after 31 minutes, when Scot Bennett brought him down as he ran outside of him. However, Townsend saved his central low penalty.
Callum Johnson’s cross was able to hit the crossbar of Newport just before the half-time break.
Aaron Lewis made Townsend save after the half, but he was helpless when Keillor Dunn scored his second goal in the 51st minutes by sidefooting in a George Maris cross down the middle.
Townsend beat Keillor Dunn’s finish to deny him his hattrick.
