Jota wants Reds to keep up momentum in the title race

Diogo Jota urged the Liverpool players to continue their winning streak after the break. The Reds thrashed Brentford in Premier League.

Mohamed Salah’s two goals and the effort of the 26-year old Portuguese striker were enough for Jurgen Klopp to win the match and maintain his team within striking distance of Manchester City on the top.

The Merseysiders put on a dominating performance and Jota issued a rallying cry as Anfield moved up to second.

He replied: “It is still very early.” To be in the title race at the very end, we need to continue winning. The road is long.

You never know. The fight for clubs is still in its early stages. We like that. We’ll be there, hopefully.

The result is a victory, but we are aware of how difficult it can be. The clean sheet is a great achievement and we are happy about the performance today.

We are still adjusting to one another and the season is still young, but we’ll find ways to work together to win matches and we hope to continue winning them.”

Jota praised the Egyptian King for his impact on the win.

He said: “He’s always around, he creates opportunities, he is an important player for us, as everyone knows.”

We are all different and try our best to support the team. We want to continue doing that.

We had some VAR decisions which delayed our first goal but with the quality of players we possess, we can score at least two more.
