- Man Utd lost 4-3 to Copenhagen on Wednesday night in the Champions.
- Garnacho was caught scuffing a penalty during the first match between the two teams
- Copenhagen’s players are now openly criticising the player
Denis Vavro, a Copenhagen-based defender, has called Manchester United player Alejandro Garnacho ‘a clown’ for his actions during their Champions League matchups in this season.
Garnacho, who was caught by Andre Onana in the act of scuffing a spot on the penalty box late last month, was charged with trying to replicate the action when Copenhagen was awarded a late penalty.
Copenhagen’s comeback of 4-3 saw Diogo Goncalves equalise this time.
Vavro was not shy in his assessment of Garnacho after the match.
Vavro said Bold. It is not the first time. Then on the pitch? I think he’s a joker.
He has the mentality a child if he does something similar again in an away match. What’s the difference between doing it at home, in the 97th-minute? And here in the opening half of the game? “I don’t get why he would do that.”

After the match, Vavro wasn’t the only player from Copenhagen to criticize Garnacho. Lukas Lrager said that the United left winger should be humble.
Lerager explained that “people in big clubs sometimes have to lower their heads.” Just know that these people are also human.
“I took him the ball and he started throwing himself about. I then told him some not so nice things, while still showing respect to him as a human being.
It just isn’t right for such a guy. “He needs to be told.”
