Kyra Cross praised Arsenal for their ability to win different ways, after they rumbled through a 3-0 defeat at Brighton in Women’s Super League.
The Gunners were in the lead at the halftime break thanks to a Stina blackstenius strike, but the Gunners really came into their own in the second 20 minute period.
While the Australian midfielder is aware that her team will have to improve in order to keep up, she’s proud of their ability to stay tight.
She told me: “This was our first clean sheet, so we are really pleased with that.”
The first half was not so good, there were many transitions. We kept the ball much better in the second half and we stuck to our plan.
The 21-year old made her third consecutive start after joining North London from Hammarby IF during the summer.
The 38-cap International is eager to continue developing with a team full of stars.
“I am so excited to be playing,” she said.

Arsenal finished the match in second place, just three points back of league leaders Chelsea.
On Thursday, they will face Southampton in the FA WSL Cup before playing West Ham on Sunday at Meadow Park.
